Beautiful and unrestored. No corrosion, beautiful paintwork, immaculate interior (headlining replaced). Still a very low mileage car.
HistoryOriginally purchased in Sweden by Evert Traff, now deceased, and used sparingly, covering less than 2000 km per year. I understand that Herr Traff used to work for Saab. I believe he took delivery of the car on 6th June 1980 and it was registered as EAB 326. After his passing, his daughter imported it to the UK and offered it for sale. I bought it in Jan 2002, and have used it sparingly, except for a trip to Italy. I have tried to maintain it in its stunning condition. I have two other 99s which are used more frequently, one of which is another low mileage "orphan". Is it disturbing to realise that these cars survive their owners?
Personal NotesI have been an enthusiast for Saabs since 1976 when I bought a two-stroke 96. I bought my first 99 in 1983. I used that car daily for over 20 years. An amazingly good car.
